This is Lilly the Monster...basically a Partocaster..pieced together with odds & ends but the end result is monstrous...tone, that is!! A beautifully grained ash body that was just gathering dust with it's non-descript original natural finish. A used Warmoth neck, a new replacement bridge, all new electronics w/ Van Zandt pups & an "old" but new nitro 3 tone ' 62 style burst...this was my first attempt at "relicing"...I wasn't interested in doing them but this was a challenge from my nemesis pal Joe..kind of an "I dare ya to try..." deal...that *&%$#@ guy KNOWS I can't resist the opportunity to say "I told ya so" to him & this is what it produced. He's no dummy! Lilly immediately became the top girl in Joe's line up...(sorry Patty!) I have to admit that I love to see & hear her in action..her tone can make a grown man drool like a fool,,,!! |
